By comparison, among the ‘ordinary’ unemployed – when a person wants to find work but cannot – more than 40% find formal jobs again (registered by the tax, statistics and other state agencies).
These findings are contained in a report by Anna Zudina, Junior Research Fellow at the HSE Centre for Labour Market Studies, called ‘Dynamics of Subjective Social Status with the Loss of Employment: Analysis of Professional Differences’. The author researched the characteristics of employment, with informal or irregular employment excluded from the analysis. The aim of the study was to understand the ‘relative price’ of job loss for representatives of various professional groups.
