In April 2024, Deputy Minister of Education and Training of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Hoang Minh Son and a delegation from top Vietnamese universities visited the HSE Pokrovka campus. The parties discussed prospects for the development of bilateral relations in higher education and identified priority areas for continued partnership.

The HSE Centre for Language and Brain and the Laboratory of Experimental Linguistics at Adyghe State University (ASU) have launched the first Digital Ethnolook International Contest in the Brain Art / ScienceArt / EtnoArt format. Submissions are accepted until May 25, 2024.

The new track will be launched in September 2024 in the Master's Programme ‘Cell and Molecular Biotechnology’ at the HSE Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology. Students will master modern methods of plant genetic and cellular engineering, genetic and marker selection, genome editing, and acquire skills in the bioinformatic processing of plant genomic data.

The Study Tour Experience is a project for those who want to experience HSE student life and upgrade their CVs. In the fall semester of the 2024/25 academic year, the Study Tour Experience is planned for November 11–23, 2024.

May 7, 2024, marks the 90th anniversary of Evgeny Yasin, one of the founders of HSE University and its Academic Supervisor. Developments in the field of artificial intelligence are gradually taking over the world. AI has the potential to bring incredible benefits to the global economy and our quality of life, but it also creates new challenges. In April, the HSE building on Pokrovka hosted two movie nights: one on the Day of Russian Animation, and other on the Day of Culture. The events allowed international students to get acquainted with Russian culture through works of cinematography. Each student enjoyed popcorn while studying detailed information about the movie on special printouts.

A student of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science, Andrey Kuznetsov, has become the winner of the 2024 Data Fusion Contest. The competition took place as part of the 2024 Data Fusion conference on big data and AI technologies. Researchers from HSE University presented the results of their work and demonstrated applied developments at the conference.

Egor Sedov initially planned to pursue a career in programming but instead became captivated by experimental physics.
