The HSE Graduate School of Business has launched a new Master’s Programme in Business Analytics and Digital Solutions in Finance, created jointly with Sberbank, Alfa-Bank, VTB, and the Moscow Stock Exchange with the expert support of the Bank of Russia. The programme aims to train specialists capable of not only analysing data, but also using it to develop digital products and making business decisions in the financial sector.

HSE University researchers will take part in a study of the future of engineering education in Malaysia, while the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) will use the iFORA big-data analysis system to validate the findings of its foresight research. These are the outcomes of a visit by HSE representatives to Kuala Lumpur.

On December 3–5, 2026, HSE University in Moscow will host ‘Comorbid Field 3.0: Social Well-Being, Health, and Medicine in Multiple Contexts,’ an interdisciplinary scientific conference organised by the HSE Centre for Comparative Research on Social Well-Being together with the HSE University–St Petersburg School of Arts and Humanities, the Institute for Interdisciplinary Health Research at the European University at St Petersburg, and Sechenov University. HSE University and the Rudomino All-Russia State Library for Foreign Literature have agreed to cooperate. The relevant agreement was signed by HSE Senior Director Andrey Lavrov and General Director of the Library for Foreign Literature Marina Zakharenko. The agreement provides for joint educational, academic, and cultural projects.

A researcher at HSE University has proposed a flowchart to help lecturers decide how to assess students who use artificial intelligence. It shows where the use of AI should be restricted and where it can be incorporated into the learning process. The article has been published in IT Professional.

Taking part in the Student Research Paper Competition (SRPC) gives you an opportunity to present your research to experts, receive an independent assessment, and determine the future direction of your work. The competition is open to students graduating in 2026 not only from HSE University but from universities in Russia and abroad. Papers may be submitted in Russian and English, and in some fields also in French, German, and Spanish.

Natalia Muravleva is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Humanities, conducts her research. Her internship in Serbia continued her long-standing study of dialects spoken by Macedonian settlers. How did 19th-century archival maps transform into three-dimensional forest models? In July 2026, second-year students of the HSE Faculty of Geography and Geoinformation Technologies conducted comprehensive mapping research at the Sochut Dendropark near the town of Stepanavan in Armenia. Here, centuries-old deciduous forests coexist with exotic coniferous plantings: Canadian hemlock, Himalayan cedar, and giant sequoias.
